Pecorino is an Italian sheep's milk cheese primarily produced on the island of Sicily. It is a rindless cheese that is semi-hard in texture.
The cheese is one of most widely used alternatives to Parmesan cheeses. Due to its hard texture and sharp & salty flavor, Pecorino is an excellent grating cheese over pasta dishes, breads, and baking casseroles. This cheese is flavored with red peppers.
