The Sicilian Dolciaria Alimentare Industria Siciliana was born in 1969 in Belpasso, a municipality in the metropolitan area of Catania, after a century and passed on by the Menza's commitment to the art of baking. In the first small workshop, breadsticks, loaves of bread for breadcrumbs and Daisino, the first and most famous of Dais snacks, begin to be baked. The commercial and technological growth allows the production of new products, appreciated for their goodness and typicality. Today Dais SpA is a leading player in the Sicilian and national confectionery sector, thanks to the craftsmanship of the processing and the quality and territoriality of the ingredients. Internationally, it records positive trends in the USA, Canada, Australia, Germany, France and other countries. The plant, located in Piano Tavola, has a surface area of 16,000 square meters and sees the creation of quality products, obtained from selected raw materials, from recipes of master pastry chefs. An avant-garde industrial apparatus alternates production lines dedicated to croissants, snacks, bread derivatives, panettone and pandoro, colombe, almond milk, nougat, nougat and almond paste. Guaranteed quality The internal laboratory monitors the production and carries out daily chemical-physical and microbiological analyzes. Compliance with the highest quality standards has made it possible to obtain the IFS Food certification, recognized by the GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) and which has as its objective food safety and the quality of processes and products.
